WRMB Mission Backpack Drop-off for Haiti

WRMB/Moody Radio South Florida, along with Orphan Outreach and Florida Baptist Children's Homes, are a backpack promotion to help bring some relief and joy to Haiti's children by collecting empty, new and gently used backpacks from July 5 through July 29.

You may drop off backpacks at the Wellington Presbyterian Church office:

M-TH 9:00 am-4:00 pm & F 9:00 am-12 noon only through July 29 (office located in B-bldg. near the flagpole and mailbox).

Please contact WRMB 89.3 radio station if donating after July 29.

Music Ministry Pianist Needed

For a number of years, and more concentrated in the last two as a regular music staff member, Michael Anderson has served our church as a lead musician, playing piano, organ, and assisting with musical arrangements. In the fall, Michael will leave for graduate school; he will be greatly missed!

So we are now in a search to find someone to this position. If you are interested in being considered for the position of pianist, organist, choir accompanist, please Email team leader Steve Hammaker, or call him at (561)868-2219. Also, feel free to spread the word, so that others will be aware of our search.

How to Pray for Your Missionaries

The apostle Paul was a man of prayer. He prayed for his many converts and for the new churches established under his ministry. He also asked those that were believers to pray for him. He wrote to the Corinthian believers, " ... you help us by your prayers " (II Corinthians 1:11). He literally begged believers to pray for him. "I urge you, brothers ... to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me" (Romans 15:30). Pray For Open Doors - "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ..." (Colossians 4:2,3)

Pray For Boldness In Witnessing - "Pray also for me...that words may be given so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel..." (Ephesians 6:19)

Pray That The Word Of God Will Have Free Course - "Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored." (II Thessalonians 3:1) Pray For Protection - "Pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith." (II Thessalonians 3:2) Pray Their Ministry Will Be Accepted By Believers - "Pray...that my service (ministry) in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints." (Romans 15:31) Pray For Divine Guidance And Assistance In Travel - "Pray...that by God's will I may come to you with joy…" (Romans 15:32) Pray For Refreshment - "Pray… that I may, together with you, be refreshed." (Romams 15:32b)

World Aware Team - Open Invite to Monthly Meetings

The World Aware Team sets the pace for the members of Wellington Presbyterian Church in missions involvement. The team meets once-a-month and oversees the prayer and financial support of missionaries in the field, and champions missions involvement by members of Wellington Presbyterian Church. All are welcome to attend the World Aware Team meetings.

Meets: First Sunday of each month at 1:30pm in room C14

Time Commitment: 2-3 hours per month
