Matt Wilson, Pastor of Outreach

Matt had the opportunity of being raised in a Christian home while growing up in Nebraska. As a teen, he and his family moved to Baltimore, Maryland and it was there he came to know Christ as his Lord during a Billy Graham Crusade in 1981. He graduated from Towson University and Chesapeake Theological Seminary, both located in Baltimore. Matt is an ordained teaching elder in the Presbyterian Church in America and has been serving at Wellington Presbyterian Church since 2002.

As the Pastor of Outreach, Matt is responsible for the outreach, mercy, and missions ministries of WPC and as well as the assimilation of guests into the life of the church. Prior to his current position, he served as a youth pastor in the PCA for 22 years.

He and his wife, Becky met in 1980 in Baltimore and after ten years he finally convinced her to marry him. Becky is a certified teacher and works as  kindergarten teacher at Wellington Christian School. They have three beautiful daughters, Stephanie, Tessa, and Sarah Kate. In his free time Matt enjoys reading, watching movies, golf, fishing, canoeing, and woodworking.
