Love in Action Through Teams….

Love in Action Through Teams….

Easter 2009 at Wellington Presbyterian Church was a beautiful day- beautiful because it was a powerful picture of love for Christ, one another, and our community on display for all to see.   But such love would not have been seen as clearly were it not for us working together in teams and as a team.  Just think of all the team work that went into yesterday…

  • From those who helped the facility team set-up in the days beforehand…
  • To the music team that helped shaped the services and serve as lead worshippers for the rest…
  • To the hospitality team’s work in purchasing, preparing, and serving our community breakfast and welcoming our guests…
  • To the children’s ministry team that made so many kids squeal with delight in our multiple Easter egg hunts and then explain with passion the hope of Easter in Jubilation Station…
  • To the student ministry team that provided a welcoming place for middle school and high school student guests…
  • To our first-steps team’s readiness to counsel and follow-up with visitors…
  • To our education and training team and small groups team’s willingness to flex on meetings and pitch in wherever help was needed…
  • To our prayer team bathing all in a desperate plea that God would take our sincere but powerless efforts and make them effective…

This was truly a labor of love that got done in and through teams!

I am personally so humbled and pleased to see what Christ is doing in and through this body of sinners as He fashions us more and more into a real community of grace.  It is my earnest prayer that the love and teamwork we saw yesterday would become a regular reality in the normal course of our life and ministry together as Wellington Presbyterian Church!

  • I too was reminded of God's glory and Jesus's ultimate sacrifice and victory for my sake. I can never fully understand the scope of what God did for me. I pray that those who have ears, will hear and respond.
