Hospitality
Hospitality Team Vision:
"Practice Hospitality" (Romans 12:13) We exist to fulfill the following vision and responsibilities.
Vision:
We want to be involved in the spreading of the gospel by creating a warm, inviting atmosphere of hospitality and fellowship at WPC for the sake of Christ and his kingdom.
Responsibilities Include:
1. To serve as pace-setters, servant-leaders, and facilitators of welcome/hospitality events for newcomers. These should include:
- Providing refreshments for WPC Sunday School.
- Assisting and organizing in providing food for major church-wide functions.
2. To create opportunities and venues for members of our congregation to build relationships with one another over food. These could include:
• Periodic dinners in homes - "Dining for 9," etc.
• Neighborhood church block parties - members connected to hold potluck-type events together.
3. To enable our members to respond to those in need by providing meals to families undergoing major life events.
• To create a network of volunteers to be on call to provide meals.
• To work with the staff team to learn of opportunities across both our connected and fringe members to demonstrate love through hospitality in the form of meals, etc.
