Giving
New Testament financial giving is to be Gospel-driven, planned, Christ-like in sacrifice, and directed to the local church.

The definition of stewardship is the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one's care. Our stewardship responsibility moves beyond our financial resources to include all that God has given to us.
When we think of generosity, we might look at the size of the gift or the nobility of the cause. But Jesus measured generosity by a radically new standard: the condition of the giver’s heart. “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21)
Stewardship Test:
1) Do you have a greater passion/delight in finding sales/extra income than in finding ways to invest more in the gospel ministry of the church?
2) Are there any funds that are off-limits to God? (IRA? College Fund? Etc.?)
3) How does your heart react to this statement: "God prospers us not to raise our standard of living, but to raise our standard of giving"?
4) Have you planned your budget asking what does God want us to keep and what do we get to give?
5) Do you give less to gospel ministry than you do to entertainment or clothing?
6) Would your non-Christian accountant be able to look at your finances and see something was different about you?
Growing from Worship Wealth to a Worshiper with Wealth:
1) Invest your life in Jesus as your treasure.
2) Withdraw your investment in the lie that more stuff will make your happier.
Ecclesiastes 5:10
He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity.
3) Invest in joy this week - "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
4) Make a plan to "compound" your generosity in gospel giving.
5) Invest in heavenly treasure that lasts by pursuing gospel generosity
