First Steps Team

Christianity Explored Class Begins April 7 from 7-8:30pm in Room B-2

Christianity Explored is a ten-week course for anyone who wants to investigate Christianity informally with a group of other people. Week by week, as course participants explore Mark's Gospel, we address three questions that cut to the heart of Christianity: Who is Jesus? Why did He come? What does it mean to follow Him?

You won't be asked to pray, sing or read aloud, and you can ask any questions you like. Or, if you prefer, you can just come along and listen.

We meet for dinner at 6:30 in the Family Worship Center and then move to B-2 at 7:00 pm for a group discussion. Contact Jack Epperson at 753-2819 or email.

First Steps Team

Purpose:

This team is available each Sunday morning to provide questions and answers about Christ to further explore the gospel.
Questions like:
Do you have questions about beginning a relationship with Christ?
Would you like to learn more about what you have heard during Sunday worship?

First Steps Team is available each Sunday morning immediately following the service in room C-14 (side of the sanctuary).  We meet with, listen to, and help anyone taking those first steps in beginning a relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Team's responsibilities include:

  • To be servant-leaders and pace-setters in partnership with the Sr. Pastor in establishing a "Christianity Explored" / Alpha Course at WPC.
  • To recruit, train, and support Sunday Prayer Counselors at both services. These would be available weekly to counsel, pray, or just listen as desired by folks after services. These conversations will largely be evangelistically focused with Shepherding needs directed towards Elders.
