Connections Class (Membership)

Want to Learn More About Wellington Presbyterian or Interested in Becoming a Member?

From Welcomed Guests to Treasured Family through our Connections Class

Next scheduled class dates: TBA

This Class will provide a chance for you to "check under the hood" and learn more about our growing vision, our core value beliefs, and how we desire to equip you in Christ. You'll also learn why we do what we do during Sunday morning worship.

While the class is required for membership, attending the class doesn't require that you have your mind made up about joining! It's designed to give you enough information to make that decision, while helping you transition from welcomed guest to treasured and active family member. If what you hear "connects" with you, then you will have an opportunity to join the church following the class.

There is also a Connections Class Ministry Team that helps with the classes.

This Team helps:

Work with the Sr. Pastor to move interested guests into connected community as church members.

  1. Assist the Sr. Pastor to logistically and relationally teach the Connections Class three times per year.
  2. Lead the "Next Steps for Members"- a follow-up ministry that includes:
  • Working with the Small Group Team to repeatedly encourage and provide new members with ample opportunities to join a WPC Small Group.
  • Gently encourage and instruct new members in the need for stewardship involvement of time, talent, and treasure at WPC.
  • Provide resources, encouragement, and ideas for how new members can "Become a Bringer"- become the next relational link to Christ by inviting someone new to WPC worship service.
